Ir ateina tokia diena, kai norai su galimybėmis sutampa. Daug daug kartų vaikystėje teko klausyti a.a.močiutės Onutės pasakojimų kaip ji kepė "bakanus duonos". Kaip ramu, iškilminga ir šventa būdavo tuo metu trioboj.
Gal ne visai tokia nuotaika tvyrojo mano virtuvėj, bet dūšelėj tai tikrai viskas virpėjo. Užmaišiau tešlą. Pakilo. Suformavau duonelę. Pakilo. "Pašoviau" į mano "krosnį" ir daug kartų žvelgėm su šeimyna per langelį.
Amžinybė praėjo, kol pravėso ir galėjau riekti pirmą savos duonos riekę. Gardu.
There was a time in my life when I felt that my wishes and possibilities came along. So many times in my childhood I loved my grandmothers Onute’s stories about how she baked bread for all our family. How special those days were - quiet, solemn and sacred.
The experienced the same atmosphere in my kitchen when I baked my first loaf of bread. I mixed the dough, let it stand, baked for half an hour and then let it cool…
It seemed like an eternity passed before I was able to cut my first slice of bread. Everyone indulged and really liked it. Really!

My taste buds have been opened up to a new world of flavors and absolute deliciousness. I would agree that you should sell this at farmers markets... there are so many people being deprived because they have yet to try it!
